Heather's Story
25 year-old Heather has recently moved into her own flat in Nantwich thanks to the support and encouragement of the Trust.
Having previously lived at home with her parents in Alsager, Heather, who has Asperger's syndrome, has gained the confidence to live independently. Whilst living with her parents, Heather received up to six hours support from the Daily Options team, Heather will now receive 24 hour support in her own home.
As well as supporting Heather in her own home, the Trust will continue to provide support through Daily Options to go swimming, shopping, visiting the Purple Onion and attending a speech therapist to aid her confidence and communication. Heather also works at Kettles Cafe one day a week.
Heather, who had recently got engaged to her boyfriend of six years, said: "I'm very excited about my own place – my dad's painting my bedroom pink!"
